Type your post and instantly see if it fits every major platform β Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and more.
Every social platform has different character limits for posts, captions and descriptions. Exceeding these limits can mean your content gets cut off, rejected, or displayed incorrectly. This tool lets you check your text against all major platforms simultaneously.
| Platform | Content Type | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Twitter / X | Tweet | 280 characters |
| Caption | 2,200 characters | |
| TikTok | Caption | 2,200 characters |
| Post | 3,000 characters | |
| YouTube | Video Title | 100 characters |
| YouTube | Description | 5,000 characters |
| Post | 63,206 characters | |
| Pin Description | 500 characters |
Twitter's 280-character limit is the tightest mainstream constraint β every character counts. Use abbreviations carefully, avoid filler words, and front-load the key message. Instagram and TikTok captions show only the first ~125 characters before "more", so put your hook up front regardless of the total limit.
LinkedIn posts perform best between 1,200 and 2,000 characters β long enough to tell a story, short enough to keep attention. YouTube titles should be under 70 characters so they don't get truncated in search results, even though the hard limit is 100.
